I have this weird thing for though, competent, forgiving secondary characters. They are wise and protective but also trusting and nonintrusive. They provide support for the female characters but allow them to fight their own battles.

They are also elegant guys who happen to be bald/shaved and wear glasses.

I tend to forget to mention them when considering my favourite characters but I’ll always root for the baldies. They deserve happy endings. 

Amazing fictional female friendship. Plus rock, fashion and complicated feelings.

Confession, thou: I got to fanfiction because I obssessed with a Mitsui, a Slam Dunk character, even when I had only seen half the anime.

Otoyomegatari (A Bride’s Story) by Kaoru Mori. If you aren interested in a realistic and unusual setting (Central Asia), very detailed drawing and a cute story, I recommend this.
